Look for forums on the topic and people's comments. You'll be amazed at how many comments can be very funny and rewritten to include in your speech. For example, let's say you were giving a factual speech on the many ways baby wipes can be used. Run a search for "mom forums" and see if anyone has shared a funny experience or story and rewrite it as part of your speech, "This one mother discovered she could use baby wipes to _____" or "A mother couldn't find the baby wipes and discovered her 4-year old had decided to plaster them all to a bedroom wall as wallpaper," which could be funny.
